We are currently enrolling for the next session, to prepare for the April exam on April 13. Don't let this opportunity pass you by!
It takes a lot of preparation to do well in anything - and that includes the ACT.
There are only three exams for the remainder of the year. The one given on April 13th may conflict with Spring Break. So, that leaves the June 8th exam. Choosing to take it in February gives you one more chance to see how you'll perform at the end of the junior year. You're making a wise choice.
The December ACT exam is of the utmost importance to high school seniors and juniors. For seniors it is probably the last time to get a score boost before college applications are due. For juniors, summer programs like Kentucky School for the Arts and Kentucky Governor's Scholars use ACT scores to select students, so a high ACT score can make a difference in receiving this prestigious award.
Score Higher understands how important this test date is so much so that it is extending class hours for extra preparation.
Enrollment has begun, and Sunday afternoon class dates have been set as Nov. 4,11,18,25 and Dec 2. The class meets at the Paducah site at 1:00-4:00, with the last hour designated for actual ACT practice exams. Class size is limited, so call Joy Lentz at 270 519 6474 to reserve a spot.
Classes begin this week-end to get you ready for the October ACT. We'll kick off with a full-length practice exam at the McCracken County Public Library on Saturday, October 15 from 9-12:30. Then, on Sunday, the 16th, we'll begin our journey to increase your ACT score!
Classes meet every Sunday from 1-3, EXCEPT for October 7 - the first Sunday of Fall Break. See you on Saturday!
Historically the first ACT of the school year was in late September, so there was plenty of time to prepare once school started. However, this year the exam date is September 8th!
In order to prepare, Score Higher will begin its trademark Sunday afternoon sessions the week-end of August 4. The course will be taught for five Sundays, concluding on September 2.
Class size is limited.
Twenty one students, seven schools, and five days of ACT Boot Camp. Yes, there were practice tests, intensive math sessions, grammar drills, pages of reading passages, hours of homework and one-on-one tutoring sessions.
You could say that's pretty standard for ACT prep courses, but we went well beyond the standard.
It may be hard to believe but our expert staff made the ACT come alive on a college campus. Activities like math speed drills, youtube videos, role-playing scientists, ice and sledge hammers, movie trailers, ultimate frisbee breaks, and much, much more were part of our fast-paced, interactive course.
Student comments like "the three hours fly by" or "this was the best day of my life" inspired our staff to spend hours each evening fine-tuning our class for the next session.
But, most rewarding were the text messages we received today from students as they exited the ACT test center, like "it was a breeze" and "I feel really great about my performance." We anticipate the highest gains we have ever obtained from a "graduating" class! Thanks to all the parents who had confidence in a local prep course, armed with years of experience, and a sincere interest in every student who studies with us.
What do you mean by guarantee? Exactly what it says. We are confident that our methods and training style will result in improved scores on the ACT. So we guarantee an increased score. If your score did not improve...simply study with us again at no cost. If you still do not improve (which is nearly impossible), we will refund your money...no hassle, no questions.
A Boot Camp means hard work and quick results. That's our goal for the one-week course we are offering June 4-8, right up to the June 9th exam. GIve us your best effort for 5 days and 15 hours (9:00-12:00) everyday. We'll give you the results you need to Score Higher - Guaranteed!
We're very excited about the new session that started on Jan. 8. This course offers five weeks of instruction plus two free practice exams. All of our hard work helps you to zero in on areas of weakness, work specifically on those weaknesses, and improves your overall composite score. Three of our students from the Dec session earned 31 or above. Now, that's what we're talking about.
You can do it too!
Classes start on Sunday, Oct. 30 to prepare for the December exam. Let's dig in and make it happen!
